Free Design Service
Quarter Cheaper Signs offers free basic layout preparation for orders over $100.
This service is intended to help customers quickly prepare a simple, clean, print-ready layout using the materials provided by the customer.
Free design is limited to basic layout preparation only and does not include full graphic design services.
Typical turnaround time for free layout preparation is 1–3 business days, depending on workload.
Free design includes up to two minor revisions. Additional revisions or major changes may require a design fee.
Customer Responsibilities
To create a layout, the customer must provide all required information in advance.
Please send one structured email containing:
• the exact text that must appear on the sign
• logos, photos, graphics, or icons to be used in the design
• preferred colors or style (if applicable)
• the final sign size or product type
• any QR codes, website links, or contact information
If the design contains a large amount of text, the text must be provided fully written and ready to use.
Free design service does not include writing marketing text, creating slogans, or developing advertising copy.
What Free Design Does NOT Include
Free layout preparation does not include:
• writing marketing text or slogans
• searching for images or graphics on the internet
• creating branding or visual identity
• recreating low-quality artwork
• complex graphic design work
• concept development or marketing design
If a project requires significant creative work, customers may need to use paid design services from a professional designer.
Sending Materials
To avoid delays, please send all materials in one message whenever possible.
If information is sent in multiple emails or incomplete form, layout preparation time may increase.
Customer-Supplied Artwork
Customers may provide their own artwork files for printing.
By submitting artwork, the customer confirms that:
• the files are ready for printing
• all text, spelling, phone numbers, and information are correct
• the resolution and size are suitable for printing
Quarter Cheaper Signs is not responsible for errors in customer-supplied files, including spelling mistakes, incorrect phone numbers, low-resolution images, or layout issues.
Canva and Online Design Platforms
Files exported from Canva or similar online design platforms may contain technical issues that affect print quality.
Common problems include:
• incorrect resolution
• missing fonts
• rasterized text
• layout changes when opened in professional software
• color differences
• corrupted or incomplete PDF files
Because of these issues, Canva PDF files may open incorrectly in professional design software.
For this reason we strongly recommend exporting Canva artwork as:
• PNG or JPG
• at full size
• 150 DPI resolution or higher
If Canva files require correction, rebuilding, or redesign before printing, additional design fees may apply.
Quarter Cheaper Signs is not responsible for printing issues caused by files generated by third-party online design platforms.
Artwork Quality Disclaimer
Print quality depends directly on the quality of the artwork files provided by the customer.
Low-resolution images, screenshots, or images taken from websites may produce blurry, pixelated, or distorted prints, especially when printed at large sizes.
Quarter Cheaper Signs is not responsible for poor print quality caused by low-resolution or improperly prepared artwork files.
If we notice a major technical problem we may notify the customer, however checking file quality is not included in our standard service.
Recommended Artwork Specifications
For best printing results we recommend:
• artwork created at full final print size
• minimum resolution 150 DPI at full size
• vector files for logos whenever possible (AI, EPS, SVG)
• high-quality JPG or PNG images
Using files smaller than the final print size may result in visible pixelation when printed.
Color Disclaimer
Colors displayed on screens (phones, tablets, laptops, or monitors) may appear different from printed colors.
This is due to differences between RGB screen colors and CMYK printing processes, as well as monitor calibration.
Because of this, exact color matching cannot be guaranteed unless special color matching services are requested.
Small color variations between the screen preview and the final printed product are normal and not considered a defect.
QR Codes and Small Text
When QR codes, small text, or fine details are used in a design, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that:
• the QR code links to the correct website
• the QR code is large enough to scan properly
• small text remains readable at the final print size
Quarter Cheaper Signs is not responsible for non-working QR codes or unreadable text caused by the design provided by the customer.
