Print Color & Reprint Policy

Quarter Cheaper Signs

This policy explains color expectations and conditions under which reprints may or may not be provided.

Large-format printing involves multiple materials, lighting conditions, and viewing environments that affect final appearance.

1. Color Matching Expectations

Printed colors may appear different from what is viewed on:

  • computer monitors
  • mobile phones
  • tablets
  • online design platforms
  • previously printed materials

Screens display color using RGB light, while professional printing uses CMYK ink systems.

Because of this difference, exact color matching between screen and print cannot be guaranteed.

2. Acceptable Color Variation

Minor variations in color tone, brightness, or saturation are considered normal within the printing industry.

Such variations do not qualify as defects or grounds for reprint.

Factors affecting final color include:

  • material surface texture
  • laminate finish (matte or gloss)
  • lighting conditions
  • installation environment
  • viewing distance

3. Brand Color Matching

Exact corporate color matching requires:

✅ Pantone references
✅ approved physical samples
✅ color test prints (when requested)

Without Pantone specifications or approved samples, colors will be reproduced using standard print conversion methods.

4. Proof Approval

Digital proofs are intended to confirm:

  • layout
  • spelling
  • sizing
  • placement

Digital proofs do not represent exact printed color output.

Approval of artwork authorizes production using standard color reproduction.

5. When Reprints Are Provided

Quarter Cheaper Signs will reprint materials at no charge only if:

✅ incorrect artwork was printed due to our production error
✅ wrong size or material was supplied
✅ physical manufacturing defect occurred

6. When Reprints Are NOT Provided

Reprints are not provided for:

  • color differences from screen appearance
  • customer-approved artwork errors
  • low-resolution supplied files
  • lighting-related perception differences
  • subjective color preference changes
  • rebranding after approval

7. Lighting & Environment Disclaimer

Printed graphics may appear different depending on lighting conditions such as:

  • indoor vs outdoor lighting
  • daylight vs evening light
  • LED illumination
  • backlit applications

Color appearance changes under different lighting environments are normal.

8. Material & Batch Variation

Slight variations between print runs may occur due to:

  • material batches
  • ink batches
  • environmental conditions
  • production timing

Exact duplication between separate production runs cannot be guaranteed.

9. Color-Critical Projects

Customers requiring precise color reproduction should request:

✔ color test print
✔ material sample
✔ production proof

Additional charges may apply.

10. Acceptance of Policy

Placement of an order or approval of artwork confirms acceptance of this Print Color & Reprint Policy.
