Before any printing begins, all artwork must be reviewed and approved by the customer. This approval confirms that the design is ready for production and that all details are correct.
Customer Responsibility for Artwork
The customer is responsible for carefully reviewing all artwork before providing final approval.
This includes verifying:
- spelling and grammar
- phone numbers and contact information
- website addresses and QR codes
- layout and positioning of elements
- colors and design choices
- dimensions and proportions
Once artwork has been approved for printing, it is considered final authorization to proceed with production.
Errors in Approved Artwork
Quarter Cheaper Signs is not responsible for errors that appear in artwork approved by the customer, including but not limited to:
- spelling or grammar mistakes
- incorrect phone numbers or addresses
- incorrect measurements or layout
- low-resolution images supplied by the customer
If errors are discovered after production has started or after printing is completed, a reprint will require a new order and additional cost.
Customer-Supplied Files
When artwork is supplied by the customer, it must meet basic technical requirements for printing.
Common issues with customer files may include:
- low image resolution
- incorrect file formats
- missing fonts
- incorrect color settings
- improper scaling
Quarter Cheaper Signs may notify the customer if obvious technical issues are detected. However, the customer remains responsible for the final content of the supplied files.
Design Proofs
Whenever possible, a digital proof will be provided before printing.
It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully review the proof and confirm that all details are correct before production begins.
Failure to review the proof carefully does not transfer responsibility to the printer.
Color Expectations
Colors on screen may differ from printed results due to differences between RGB displays and CMYK printing processes.
By approving the artwork, the customer acknowledges that minor color variations are normal in digital printing.
