Storage, Handling and Material Limitations Policy

To maintain the quality and longevity of printed signage, proper storage, handling, and installation are essential. Printed graphics and signage materials are sensitive to environmental conditions and physical contact. The customer assumes responsibility for proper handling after delivery.

Greenhouse Effect During Storage

Finished non-laminated vinyl prints must not be stored outdoors while sealed in plastic packaging.

Moisture such as dew or condensation may accumulate inside the packaging. When exposed to sunlight, the plastic wrapping can create a greenhouse effect, trapping heat and humidity. Under these conditions the ink layer may soften, which may lead to ink lifting, surface damage, or print deterioration.

Damage caused by improper storage conditions after delivery is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Surface Scratching

Non-laminated printed surfaces are vulnerable to scratching and abrasion.
This is particularly noticeable in designs with large solid color areas, especially black or other dark colors.

Scratches may occur during transportation, stacking, installation, or general handling.

For improved durability we recommend:

  • Applying protective lamination
    • Handling printed surfaces carefully
    • Avoiding friction against other materials

Scratches on non-laminated prints are considered normal material characteristics and are not covered under warranty.

Limitations of Laminated Paper Posters

Single-side lamination of paper posters does not make the product waterproof.

Because the back side of the paper remains exposed, moisture may penetrate the paper substrate. Exposure to humidity, rain, or condensation may cause:

  • paper expansion or warping
    • separation of the laminate
    • edge curling or delamination

These effects are inherent limitations of paper-based materials and are not considered production defects.

For outdoor use or humid environments we recommend:

  • double-sided lamination
    • mounting on rigid waterproof substrates
    • using vinyl-based signage instead of paper

Customer Responsibility After Delivery

Once products are delivered or picked up, the customer is responsible for proper storage, transportation, and installation.

Environmental exposure, improper storage, mechanical damage, or misuse of materials may affect the appearance and durability of the product and are not covered by any warranty or reprint policy.

Expected Product Lifespan

When used in appropriate conditions and handled correctly, printed signage can maintain good appearance and functionality for extended periods of time.

However, the actual lifespan of printed products depends on multiple factors including environmental exposure, handling, installation conditions, and material selection.
